Active Information Systems Ltd has been providing IT services and support since 1998. We have a team of people dedicated to ensuring that your business IT systems run smoothly. We work with our clients to provide them with reliable IT systems that enhance their business, and act as their “Trusted IT Partner”.
This means we try to know as much about our clients and their business as possible, and we also like them to know about us as well.
The Active team consists of:
Chris Sewell: Managing Director
Chris was a founding member of Active in 1998, and has built the company steadily since then. An engineer at heart, Chris has a strong electronics and computing background with a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering as well as being a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
In his role as Managing Director, Chris provides the guidance and direction of the company, allowing his trusted team to provide the service to our customers without interfering! A key part of Chris’ ethos is providing a totally ethical and fair service to all our customers, something which he is especially proud of, and the reason behind the “Active-IT Guaranteed” promise.
Away from the office, Chris has two children and enjoys cross country running, golf, cycling, power boating and sailing. Chris has raised significant amounts of money for Dreams Come True by running various 10km and 10mile races and cycling London to Brighton.
Kevin Young: Chairman
Kevin became Chairman and a Director of Active Information Systems Ltd in April 2010. His previous business, Argyll Insurance Brokers Ltd, was formed in 1991 . He built it up to be one of the largest independent Insurance Broking firms in the South East, before selling it to Jelf Group PLC in 2008 for £12.5m. He has since retired from Jelf and now provides strategic business advice to Active. He is totally focussed around service delivery and believes that goodwill in any business is only maintained and achieved if the hearts and minds of both staff and customers are as one.
Alison Richards: Operations Director
Alison joined the company in March 2003 after moving back from Houston, USA. As Operations Director she is generally responsible for the day to day running of the office and will probably be the first contact you have within Active.
She is married with two ‘grown-up’ children (although she uses the term loosely!) and enjoys travelling to different places. Prior to living in America, Alison spent a number of years in Norway, but don’t ask about the ski-ing!
Nainesh Patel: Technical Manager
Nainesh Patel is our Technical Manager and joined Active in July 2005. He is responsible for the engineering team and holds a BSc in Computer Science. He has also gained professional qualifications with Microsoft and Cisco and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.
His key role is to provide customer satisfaction by ensuring that technical issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently, and IT installations run smoothly with as little disruption to the customer as possible.
